How do I send an investor update?

To send an investor update, navigate to Investors > Investor Updates > New.

On the next page, you will be able to manage the recipients and the message content.

The message content automatically saves updates as a draft until you send the message. Once you send the message, the message can be forwarded to others as well.

Follow the purple hotspots below.

How do I check viewing analytics?

Once an update is sent, you can see the delivery and whether or not the investor has viewed the update. This method used pixel tracking.

Follow the purple hotspots below.

How can I customize or create a template?

By default, Stack provides some sample templates, like Leo Polovets' suggested early-stage investor update template. You can customize this or create your own.

Can I preview an update before sending it?

You can preview the format of an investor update by clicking on the Send Draft to Yourself button.

Can I send investor updates to new investors after they have already been sent to a different set of investors?

Yes. Click on the name of the update that you've already sent and use the Forward button on the right side of the screen to send it to more people.

Can I embed images or charts in investor updates?

Yes. You can paste in or attach an image to the update.

For tables, you can either include a screenshot of a formatted table or use the Add Chart feature.

Do recipients have to be investors on our cap table?

You can customize which email addresses receive updates.

You can also add information under the Advisors section and use that to add recipients for sending investor updates in the future. To do so, navigate to Investors > Advisors > New and fill the form to add an advisor.
